Standard STS STINGER LIW Feeder Augers
- When feeding hard-to-handle additives like pigments and other cohesive powders, having consistent flow rate at the discharge is crucial to maintaining batch and rate accuracy.
- Model STS STINGER® feeder tube uses an auger to regulate materials. The feed rate is limited to the capacity of the screw.
- Shown below are the standard augers for use in our Model STS STINGER®. The auger selected should be based on the physical characteristics of the materials handled in the feeder.
- We can provide augers for special applications not listed below
Basic
- The basic auger for the Model STS STINGER® feeder is the screw auger.
- This auger is used for difficult-to-handle powders that do not tend to build up on the screw or shaft.
- Furnished in C/S and 304 S/S, Optional polishes are available to reduce build up.
High-Density Polyethylene
- An optional auger for the Model STS STINGER® feeder is the High-Density Polyethylene flights on a rigid 304 S/S Shaft.
- This auger resists corrosion, safe for food handling, and can be used for high-wear applications.
- It is made with replaceable High-Density Polyethylene flights
TransFlow®
- An additional optional auger for the Model STS STINGER® feeder is the Patented TransFlow® auger
- This auger is used for cohesive powders that form clumps and can build up in the auger pockets. It uses TransFlow® Technology on the shaft to condition cohesive powder for better flow control and weighing accuracy.
